ShaZah

ShaZah consists of Shanta Nurullah and Zahra Baker.  Their music ranges from children's songs and folk material to free improvisation. Instrumentation often includes guitar, sitar, frame drums, mbiras, djembe, shekere and other world percussion. They sing, tell stories and encourage audience participation. As featured performers their experiences include  Gwendolyn Brooks tributes and shows on Navy Pier's outdoor stages, as well as opening for acts such as bassist Junius Paul and the UK's The Comet Is Coming.  They aim to spread love and joy wherever they go.
